Day of Resistance Frequently Asked Questions
What is this rally for?
On January 16, 2013, President Barack Obama issued 23 executive actions against your 2nd amendment Constitutional right to bear arms. He did this without the consent of Congress which, in itself, violates the foundation of the Constitution and the co-equal branches of government.
In response to these unconstitutional actions by the president, American people will gather together in defiance to protect the rights that protects all our other rights.
Is this a national organization?
Our rally is organized at a local level. We are all active members of our community who built this entire event from the ground up.
Who is funding this project?
While there are national sponsor organizations (TheTeaParty.net, Western Representation PAC, DustinStockton.com, and Women Warriors PAC), there is no one group funding this project. In fact, most of the rallies are either partially or entirely funded by local individuals or patriotic organizations.
Who are you working with?
We are working with anyone willing to stand up to the big-government politicians. As government grows bigger and stronger, our freedoms are weakened. Many of our local organizers are not affiliated with any organization, while others are affiliated with Tea Party organizations, pro-gun groups, and countless other conservative clubs.
How can we get more involved?
Odds are there is a rally being planned in your area. Send an email to organizer@dayofresistance.com and they will get you plugged in. If there isn't a rally in your area, they may ask you to step up and help make it happen!
How can we get more information about the other groups associated with this project?
I am just organizing this rally, you would need to contact them. THey have been very supportive of us, but you should direct your questions to them .
Is this just a gun rally?
This is not just about guns. Under the current leadership of both parties, the federal government continues to grow in size and scope - and guns is just the most recent example. Yes, we need to protect the rights of gun-owning Americans, but we also need to protect the liberties of everyone in this country. That's what Day of Resistance is all about.
Amendment II - A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

I'd be prepared for some infiltrators......who want to ban guns...just saying have some stand next to them signs ready.

We are prepared to allow their First Amendment Right to free speech but have plans to deal with them within lawful means.
Let us take back the Tea Party Moto and regain our numbers. "TAKE BACK OUR TEA PARTY, RIGHT WINGERS GOT TO GO"...my Wife says she will not attend Tea Party Meetings since they lost their way and allowed the right wingers to take over. Our focus should be less govt spending and other non-social issues...OR WE WILL CONTINUE TO LOSE. Let us hope the MinuteMan will revive our traditional cause
When the federal government picks and chooses its own social issues that usurps States’ Rights; pressures and forces them on every citizen in the name of public safety, you have to ask yourself one question.
Will you abandon the Constitution and the Bill of Rights over that particular social issue?
If yes, they have successfully diminished the ranks of those who are defending it.

When OUR State or Local government proposes laws that "infringes" on the Constitution, The Central Coast Tea Party Minutemen are here to Defend it.
It's your choice if you want to be regulated into the subservience, but don't expect your type of comment to be of much import except to those who have successfully turned you away from the defenders of the Constitution.
We hope you think about this, and come stand with us again to Defend the Constitution for every American and those generations to come.
I attend the meetings from time to time and found the influnce of the Republican party to be a bit disconserting at times, but I also understand that many people have a religious intolerance as you seem to be. Look, you don't have to be friends with these people, I am part of the coalition to defend the Constitution. I'm made more sick every day about what the left is doing to this country than I am sick of religious people....that's how I weight it anyway. Hope this helps, for all its worth.
AND, I do feel the gun rally is a good start but keep out the right wingers with their bible thumping signs or we will lose
First Amendment Rights require tolerance from All Americans unlike the left who want to shut it down on individuals whom they don't agree with.
If you are intolerant of free speech, then know this is not the correct forum for you to display it.
